About Nicholas Kartsonis
The son of two Greek immigrants, Nicholas Kartsonis is a physician with an internal medicine speciality and a subspecialty in infectious diseases. Nick grew up in New Jersey and Jacksonville, Florida.
He attended Emory University for both undergraduate college and medical school. Prior to moving to the Philadelphia area, Nick met his now-wife as a resident of internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
For the last two decades, Nick has been employed as a physician scientist at Merck Research Laboratories (MRL), a division of Merck & Co., Inc. (known outside the United States & Canada as Merck Sharp & Dohme). Currently, he is the Senior Vice President of Clinical Research in Infectious Diseases & Vaccines within MRL.
Nick is an avid lover of science, history, and sports. He currently lives in Penn Valley, Pennsylvania, with his wife, three sons, and their awesome golden retriever.
